I am the recent proud owner of Native Instrument's Battery. I installed it today, and I managed to open it twice, where it crashed each time when I was selecting the soundcard. Since those first 2 times, I have removed and reinstalled the software, now Battery crashes as it loads. I will check out the NI website when I register the software, but their registration page is not working for me at the moment. I run OS9.2.2.
Has anyone else faced similar issues? This post has been edited by thedude: Sun 25 Apr 2004, 11:41 |

Start Battery and choose Audio out to Sound Manger.
Play it a while to see if it stable. Then check the web for the latest driver of your audio interface. |

Thanks for the response, but Battery crashes while it is loading. The only time it has fully started, it crashed when I opened the sound out menu. I haven't been able to play around with it at all.

I have no idea how or why, but my OS 9.2.2 setup reached a point where pretty much any MIDI app would crash if I didn't have the "OMS Setup" program running first before launching other audio apps. Try launching OMS Setup and leave it on and then launch Battery.

Don't put ASIO driver in the ASIO folder.
Use sound manager instead if you want to use it as a standalone. Mine crashes everytime I put in the ASIO driver. I had to take it out. When I use it as a plug in, I switch the audio out to MAS without any problems. There is a very long list of complaints on NI website about this, mine is included. They've never fixed this. Funny thing is that I can use the same ASIO driver on NI's B4 and Spektral Delay. There are more freakish things about all of my NI's softwares, but I'm not gonna waste your time. This is it for me. NO MORE BUYING NI's STUFF. This post has been edited by azusa: Tue 18 May 2004, 13:21 |
