Can any one out there tell me if theer is a standalone version (apart from pro tools free) that will run on OSX without any extra hardware? It seems to be inevitable that I have to buy an MBOX.java script:emoticon('')

Call it crazy, but all versions of Pro Tools except the free version only work with Digidesign hardware.

Just in case anyone misunderstands the original post from nlowther, please note that ProTools FREE will NOT run either on OSX or in Classic Mode on OSX.

Sorry, if you want to run ProTools under OSX, you have to pay for it. The M-Box is pretty much a dongle with built-in 2 channel interface and funky preamps!
If it's any consolation, I love the PT interface, and I think it's well worth the cash... |
