Can anyone suggest a good portable set up starting with i book and M box. I need sampling/sounds capability and good but small speakers too. I intend to take the system with me when I travel to asia later this year - so portability is the key..I would also like to add a more user friendly sequencer later on -how easy is it to sync midi?

Cheers

Well, if you go with the iBook and M-Box (good choice), you can run all this soft intruments you like without making your rig any heavier!

I have some nice Bose speakers which are quite small, but they have an external power supply, limiting their portabliity somewhat... You wouldn't prefer headphones?

As for MIDI, check out M-Audio's range of portable USB powered keyboards.
