Ok, I have been the happy owner of a MOTU828mk2 since November. I recently purchased a Studioprojects C-1 condenser mic and believed I could use the 48v power phantom voltage the motu supposedly has.

Anyway I fired up the Mic and no matter what I tried I could not get it to work. So, thinking I got a bum mic I sent it back and got another. Well that mic arrived today and I am still having the same problem.

I can plug a regular mic into the port and it works fine but anything I try with the 48v does not work... What am I doing wrong...

Are you sure you are using an XLR to XLR lead and the lead is 3 core balanced? I'm not sure, but I think both these are required for Phantom Power to work usually.
