Turning Visuals & Grahics Into Sound (?) Options

Hi, I've read about people turning images and other grahics into sound somehow. Does anyone have any information about this?

I don't know really if there is anything that does only that job.... but it should... as I know there is a thing in Fruity Loops 4.12 and 4.5 that transform any graphic in sounds... and it's amazing what U can get from it.... but FLStudio (that's fruityloops new comercial name) is an only PC software... so I do not know if it's ok 4 U.
If U find a soft that exclusively do that please let me know (specially if it is 4 mac)...
