I have a problem with an old Korg X5 editor. It needs MidiManagementTools to communicate via a serial connection (The X5 has a serialconnector for that purpose). Thus, with an old LC475 it works fine because of the modem/printer connectors. But not wanting too much Mac's around I am trying to get these to work with an Imac. Therefore I have a simple USB-/-two serial connector hanging out of the Imac (mainly purpose: use of old stylewriter). Alas, nothing works! The editor-software insists in seeking after either a real "MAC"modemserial or printerserial connection. Trying to communicate via midi (Tascam US-428) and OMS seems also to be a dead end. Any ideas besides buying expensive universal editorsoftware??

Maybe it could work in using Sound Diver...

I've got a X5 but still got serial ports on my old beige G3 and to be honest don't use its sounds anymore since I've got the TR-Rack.
