 Motu 828-tiger 10.4.4-quicktime 7.0.4 Voodoo, Loss of QT audio thru MOTU 828 fix |

Just want to pass along what happened to me last night after updating my Dual 2GHz G5 to Mac OS 10.4.4, QuickTime 7.0.4 and iTunes 6.0.2.
iTunes, eTV, Safari, Amadeus, etc., played sound out thru MOTU 828 mk2 perfectly (as before update). Only QuickTime sound failed! Picture playback was fine. WTF??? Repaired permissions. No go. Install OS 10.4.4 COMBO updater. No go. (Though not a bad idea). In frustration, inspiration hit me! Turned 828 off, pulled out firewire cable, then turned 828 back on and replugged firewire connection. Voila! I'm going to hope all that voodoo ran that problem down for good. Anyone else have a similar situation? |
