DC here!

I'm looking for input recommendations on the best digital mixer,
Suitable for both PA/FOH live mixing as well as recording/mixing with my DAW
(DP-7.2)
Possibly there is some hybrid analog/digital mixers out there that might fit the bill. unsure.gif

My budget limit is about 3000 us dollars.
Any thoughts is most welcome.

Cheers Dixiechicken!

I would take a long hard look at the PreSonus Studiolive 24.4.2

These consoles are quite well thought out, have very decent mic pre's, on board dynamics and what they call the "Fat Channel" EQ for all channel strips.

Quoted from PreSonus

"If StudioLive were an analog console, it would have 4-foot-long channel strips packed with knobs and buttons or it would require a massive outboard rack of expensive signal processors! That's because each channel has its own compressor, limiter, gate, 4-band semi-parametric equalizer, and high-pass filter. In all, we've packed 31 compressors, 31 limiters, 31 gates, 16 high-pass filters, and more, into one remarkable Fat Channel."

The consoles also come with simple DAW software for recording, and it is well designed to dump the tracks into your favorite DAW for further mixing/editing/processing.

There are also inserts on each channel strip, so you can track/mix using your favorite outboard processing goodies that you may already have.

The consoles are also linkable, so you can add another 16-24 channels to what you began with.

For now, these seem to be one of the most feature filled, robust bangs for the buck, they are quiet and they sound good too.

I am seriously considering how to squeeze one into my present work space.

Yikes! {:-D
