I did the update on my iBook G3 and DP is running fine.
Admittedly, I don't have a lot of horsepower on that machine and am not running a lot of plugins.
I haven't had the nerve to put Panther on my G4 Quicksilver, because I'm not sure the Tascam US-422 is compatible. Their website mentions some "issues" with Panther, and I'm not sure those have been resolved.
Also, I use a serial MTP through a Griffin G4Port on the tower, and I don't know if that is compatible with Panther either. If anyone is using any of that hardware I would be interested to hear how it works with 10.3.5
