Hello all,
Im looking for a package that will let me reduce audio file size without losing quality. The files I want to reduce are in MP3 format and only about 1.5MB in size yet I am told they are still too big for a website. The guy who is designing the site has compressed them himself in Flash?? but the sound has suffered hugely. Could anyone advise on what file type is standard for web use, how I can further reduce file size without the loss of quality and of course anything else I should know, ive never done sound for the web before and it would be really useful if you had any other tips/sources of info thanks in advance D |

1.5MB is not too large for a website, particularly because they are in MP3 format. Almost all webservers are configured to stream MP3 files, so if your designer is worried about the files being too big to download, that's not a problem.
