 Exporting From Dp4, What is the best way? |

Ok, my band has recorded a few songs now in Digital Performer 4, and really like our mix. What is the best way to export the songs and retain their great sound quality? Any help is much appriciated, thanks!

well, the first thing to know is whether or not you've recorded at 16 bit or 24. if you've recorded at 24 bit(let's hope) then you'll have to select dithering(or use the included mw limiter 24-16 preset works nice. add that to you master fader. then select all tracks(make sure you've removed click track parts and trimmed down unnecessary noise on all tracks) and bounce them down to a stereo track. select your mix in the soundbites window and export out as your choice(normally split stereo sound designer II files) jam or peak would be your next step to add any fades or crossfades or final mastering.
