Can anyone of you help me with this!? I want to automat the Yamaha O2R using the 2408 and G3 with DP. What do I need? Is a lightpipe connection between interface and mixer enough or do I need some sort of MIDI interface? Thanx.

I'm not competent for this thing (even if i'm a small DP user) but hands on experience is needed. Have you tried the MOTU site (and the Yam too) Else a mail with both would be a good Idea. In case it can help (completely different but who knows) on the soundcraft site there a special documents for interfacing digital328 with DP or 2408. Maybe it can help. And there must be a 02R mailing list lurking somewhere, it's always a great place for practical info especially on a big toys config.

what do you mean "automat"
if you mean use automation on the O2r then some sort of time code will be necessary between you computer and it - (the automation has to a location) if you have a midi interface then basic MTC from computer to o2r will sufice. Light pipe is for the audio - you can also use this to clock the 02r - be aware that some ADAT clock options are not fantastic but it really is increadably boring.....
goodluck
