Hi, I have a PB 12" Alu and a pair of simple PC speakers from JBL. They came with my DELL. Whenever I play certain CDs, there is an audible, in fact very audible hissing noise coming out from the speakers. The same CD when played on normal hi fi sounds fine. But when I use it on the PB, the hissing is hyper annoying. I observe that only my classical CDs cause this hissing sound. They are of ADD recordings and stereo. I know that sometimes you have hissing sound for mono recordings, but ADD are fine, right?

Is it due to the cable connection? So what can I do to remove the hissing beside turning down the volume?

I'm actually considering buying the 2.1 JBL Creature speakers system. But if I hear the hissing even using these expensive "creatures" I rather not buy them at all.

Please advise?

thanks
