Hey all:

I know that ProTools Free uses the Apple Sound Manager to deal with ins and outs. Is there any way it can utilize ASIO?

I just bought an Edirol UA-5 and it sounds great - except for the horrible latency. There IS a way, however, to adjust the latency to be acceptable, but only if one uses a program that is ASIO-compatible.

Is there a way to run PTFree via ASIO or would I need to look at another program such as Cubasis?

Thanks,

Carlos

I really don't think PT Free is ASIO compatible... its really meant to be a tease that is supposed to make you want to buy the Digidesign interfaces that come with PTLE or full blown PT system wink.gif
