I'm glad that MOTU finally released DP4.1 which supports AUs. This means that I can use a VST-AU converter for all of my OSX VST plugins (like Antares AutoTune 3). I finally got everything set up last night on my 800mhz G4 with 750mb RAM. I'm getting lots of stutter and sloooooowed down sound skipping even in my smaller projects. DP4.01 wasn't doing this...

My question is, should I upgrade my processor or get more RAM?

Did you follow the instructions in the accompanying pdf-file about buffer settings in DP-4.1.
Start the disktool in OS X & repair permissions on your boot drive.
