I have a bog standard 7300/200,no extra hardware.Do I need to buy a soundcard to use MIDI,or can I use the printer port or another connection?

printer port and 2nd hand Midi interface with serial connection will do just fine.

Just keep in mind there's no support on Opcode products for years now, but MOTU and Emagic stuff will do the job ok. Just focus on the serial port.

Thanks for the reply.Can you recommend a model of interface,or how much it might cost? Also will most programs run with this,I just want to use my mac for a small bit of sequencing,no recording.Thanks for your time,I'm a computer virgin (and a hardware lover!)
