OK- which audio card for MAC or PC has the lowest latency ( I know this is a loaded question)

OK then- who is having an easy time getting there mac and PC sampler/giga machine to talk to each other?

- I now know that I need an accelerator card for my mac g4 350, but it seems that DP3 with Digi 001 seems to slow things down- if I'm not mistaken.....

it couldn't be the PC's fault ( an P4 1.6 GHZ with a wavecenter card??!!)

umm why using DP3 with Digi001? why not use PTLE? I know that I have Logic I use with my Digi001 for midi work and there is lots of latency compared to very small amount when using PTLE. So, I only do midi work in Logic and do all audio recording in PTLE to make up for that. cool.gif

Well I'm not really using them together-
It's just that Dp is accessing the sound cards on the LE

I'm mostly getting latency talking to my giga PC

i wasn't using both apps together either... Logic accesing the DAE from Digi is just not as efficinet at processing audio and I am assuming that is same problem with your DP app using Digidesign hardware.

as far as accessing your giga PC... not sure what that setup is... do you have seperate PC running giga studio that is sending audio outputs to the Digi001 and back into your DP app? If so, I suggest using PTLE again to help with latency. If you have midi tracks in DP sending midi to giga studio on PC and back... just export midi files and pull into PTLE and then try it. That's about all I can say for this situation other than play with buffer settings in DP. wink.gif
