I am soon to be the owner of a G4 Mac and I am looking at purchasing metasyth as it looks like it will have the capability to make the kinds of freaky sounds I like ...Does any one have any experience with this software....and what are your opinions on it...

HI!

Yes I do use Metasynth since more than one year..
It is one of my favourite piece of soft, togheter with max/msp and Koan.
Metasynth is a great sound design tool, and can take a while to produce some good stuff.
nevertheless it is a very great soft and if used with wisdom it can takes you in places were no man has gone before.

For open minded people.

Be nice to metasynth, it may take some getting used to but it will make you very happy if you are looking for odd sounds. Just try messing around with it and getting a feel for it. I found that was the best way to learn the software.
Good luck to ya
and enjoy your new mac. biggrin.gif
