Friends, I've recently tried some mastering software (T-Racks, Peak and Spark) and I really have to say that it's all a gigantic pile of crap (and Logic does it all better). My question is whether there is a possibility of mastering songs via software at all. Is there 'the' EQ and 'the' Comp (and I mean: even better than Q10 and C4 by Waves)? Do I really have to keep using my TL Audio and Urei stuff or is there finally something replacing the hardware?

Hi Tyrone,
although I'm a 100% percent logic fan, I wouldn't use it for mastering. I still use sounddesigner for a lot of things, I checked T-Racks & Peak and ended up with SparkXL (the best denoiser I ever heard!). If you're looking for 'the' EQ: check the Waves Renaissance stuff!!! Kind regards Walter |

I'm also a 'Logic' user, but Peak is better for mastering, works most quickly.
You can try WaveBurner, the mastering solution by Emagic -------------------- |
