I am currently using Cubasis and want to upgrade . . . but not to Cubase. I've heard good things about Motu DP3 and without a demo to try I have the following questions.
Using OMS and the Yamaha SW1000XG audio card's ASIO drivers, is it possible to record midi onto an audio track within Digital Performer 3 (ie loopback)?
Is it possible using FreeMidi instead of OMS?

Thanks for any info

No, you can't. Only audio can be recorded onto audio track, so as the MIDI.

Yes, I'm using FreeMIDI 1.48/OMS Emulator with Reason 2.0 and DP3. You can download FreeMIDI 1.38 from motu.com, and it's in there.
But don't look or try to search it at motu.com, you won't find it. blink.gif
It's much better than OMS.You don't get a stuck note when you play your keyboard with Reason.

I don't know much about that card, but from what I've read on a few sites I think it will work with DP using OMS.

Here's a link I looked at:

http://www.yamahasynth.com/down/main.htm

It's a good question for the guys at:

http://www.unicornation.com

One of the forums there is not working presently (the main one), but you could post the question in the hardware forum.

I don't think azusa understood your question.

From the reports I've seen, there will not be any OSX support for the Yamaha cards.

DP supports any card with an ASIO driver.
