Promises! Promises!

It's the end of the year and no ProTools 6. I wonder when the new release date will be! Everything else works great on OS X for me on my shine new iBook and I really hate launching into OS9 for just Protools

No, no wait... the end of the year is only tonight at 12.00 PM...
they still have plenty of time to write the missing codes, run the last tests, adjust their marketing plan and choose a not so reasonnable price for the update... We might get it tonight !!
Unless they're already completely drunk after all the champaign they had this evening...and during the whole year...
Promises...

They have contradicting information on their site. In some places they state or at least have stated "late this year". In other places I have seen they say "early 2003" or something similar. Well, most important for me is not to ship a unfinished product. After that I would appreciate if Digi could be honest, absolutely clear and active regarding the roadmap and its eventual changes. As it is now one could only hope that the software will be good!

It's really no suprise, for them they just went through a round of new releases.

The new HD hardware, Mbox, digi 002, 32-track LE. Shoud be here and working by spring/summer.

It's not like they are a huge company. Not like Yamaha, or Sony.

Think about this A-Rod yearly baseball income is more money than Steinberg was sold for. I thought they were healthy, they had the marketshare for cross-platform DAW.

Bad economy + to many PC cracks I guess.

Well, the title of this topic is already out of date... biggrin.gif

It's 2003 and Pro Tools 6 is ready... apparently.

Anyway, if you go to www.digidesign.com/tour, the company is holding some demo shows of PT6 in the US, Canada and the UK in February, so it really is more than vapour-ware now. OS X-ready and everything.

Cut along to a demo and see it in action. Limited availablity, book early to avoid disappointment etc
