Hey Guys,

Do you by CDs or download songs from internet?

Well, I still buy CDs of my favorite artist to make a collection. Recently I bought newly release album big bang theory by shaun barrowes and "When I Take Your Hand" is my favorite sound track in this album.

What about you guys?

I still buy CDs....Usually on sale....I bought the most recent Nine Inch Nails and Radiohead and Flaming Lips, Beck....there is a store just down the street that will often have specials on select older release CDs for 5 to 7.50 US....I buy a lot of those that way. There are guys at work who I tell about this stuff. They think I am nuts for paying for it. They say they get whatever they want from Limewire. I tell them that they are probably downloading a bunch of viruses and sooner or later the FBI will take their computer away. I try to point out that this is stealing....they just don't get it. I have heard a bunch of their downloads.....pretty crappy music anyway.....I wouldn't want to pay for it either....then again, I wouldn't want to listen to it in the first place.

Thanks for the props, Mac Daddy. You would understand this better than most.....You remember when you would buy a record say, from the Stones or Zeppelin and you would listen to THE WHOLE THING? I understand the reason why people only want to buy (or steal) the one hit mp3 from online. People don't make recordings like that anymore, unless you are talking about Radiohead, the Flaming Lips and they are pretty retro. I bought an Eminem CD a few years back....Three good "songs" and the rest was just a bunch of whining. Same thing for the last Jayzee "Black Album"......three good songs total.

mortalengines... yobrowhatchaknow???

Saying: "Three songs" is generous... I guess my old fashioned ways expecting music leaves me out of the "Loop". Pun intended.

How did things go with your child and the gear you purchased a while back?

PS: Eminem? Who dat? Last thing I heard Wacko Jacko bought Eminem's entire catalogue...

PSS: Sorry 440 Members, I know this is inappropriate but mortalengines and I are old friends... hey jimdubpramgaragebandman...

I don't download music, and I still buy CD's from time to time, but like Mortalengines I don't find a lot of interesting music nowadays.
The Killers - Kings of Leon

Well, not buying anymore (out of being broke) for years, but instead listen to net radios.
