does anyone have any suggestions on affordable vst's for logic express?
i'm mostly looking for ones to mangle and completely reform the recorded sample.
i've looked at pluggo, and downloaded a demo, but the demo was glitchy as hell, and i'm not sure if i'll find that problem if i buy it as well.
any help would greatly be appreciated.

Logic doesn't support VSTs, it supports the Audio Unit standard. VST can be used if they are wrapped first.

http://www.kvraudio.com/ lists all plugins and all formats many of them are free.

This site also has links to plug makers.
