That will work.

I use a powerbook 1GHz (OSX 10.6) with PTle7. I just can't load up on plugins.
It will also depend on what hardware you use. With the 002, I have the slowest processor advisable.

Check out or do a search at digidesign.com "Pro Tools Academic" - Supported Power Mac G4 Models

Maybe??? What hardware are you using??? You said that you are using a TDM system, but are using a current HD core card, or are you using a older Mix system? Many older versions will not work with OS 10.4. Also some of the new Macs are comming with PCI express slots that will not work with some HD core cards.

I would strongly recoment that you go to www.digidesign.com and check the support pages. There is a complete compatibility listing for all of their hardware. It can get a little complicated, but you need to make sure that you Software will work with your OS and you OS will work with you hardware and your hardware will work with you computer and so on and so on.

I hope this helps.
