just sent this to another member... thought I would post here to... just in case anyone has any suggestions... thx

hello reading an old post of yours where you were helping someone with a similar question I have... I really want logic... but dont want to spend the 1000.00 (pro) so I can pick up a cheap copy of logic 4.8.1 with the esx sampler and the es1... thats what I need... so I thought I cold run it in classic on my g4 4oo with 2 gigs of ram and up to 4 HD's with 300 gb between them... also is it possible to upgrade to 5 from 4.8.1? that would take me into pro 7 terrortiy with the upgrades in the future if I wanted... LMK what you think... cheers

Jason

Won't work in classic mode, all of the bits and pieces needed to communicate with audio/midi hardware, are not available in classic mode.

Best bet is to directly boot into OS9.
