I have found postings that define how to add an application to PT core audio manager so it will talk to the app but I cannot figure out how to navigate to this application setup dialog box. Where is it in digidesign core audio setup? The postings say you will find it when you launch the core audio manager app. I just don't see it anywhere. I am running pro tool 6.9 with an mbox on a iMac G5. Thanks in advance for any help.

I think latest versions of the Coreaudiomanager don't have the old "supported applications" menu. It's supposed to work automatically, meaning if your audio/midi setup panel can see it, Garageband will be able to see it too(as well as any other application). It still has a lot of problems (in my setup I sometimes get noise instead of proper playback).

Anyway, the best thing to do is go to digidesign home page and check out what they have to say.

Hopefully, one of them will work.

thanks straydog. It seems that the key lies in the launch sequence. I have to fart around with closing all core audio apps then launching garageband again. I hane not pinned down the exact sequence yet but sometimes it works. Thanks again.
