I have a new Mac G4 tower running OS9.2 and Jaguar. I installed the Audiophile 2496 sound card to allow midi communication between the Mac and my digital piano, but have run into a huge dilemma - there is an "echoing" or "looping" sound when playing the piano in it's "performance/concert" mode (meaning the midi mode is not active). In order to break the "looping", I have to unplug one midi cable either from the piano or the computer. There must be a better solution somewhere - the techs at M-Audio have not been helpful with suggestions, so am hoping to get some input from this forum. As soon as Digital Performer for OS 10.2 is released, it will be on my wish list, but at the moment there isn't any sequencing software on the Mac. I'm hoping DP might provide the solution to this looping sound in the concert piano mode, but I'm not sure. Does anyone have any suggestions? Midiman is not OS 10.2 compatible, is Fastlane? It has an on/off switch that might provide the solution .... maybe. Any thoughts/ideas out there? Thank you
