I'm sure everyone's heard the news. I'm still a PC guy thinking of getting a PowerBook. Do you guys think it's worth the wait?(is it 2006?)

If I've learned anything in all my years of owning Macs its that you never, ever, ever buy Rev A. With that much of a platform shift, I would expect a lot of problems with the first group to roll off the line. It happened with the Beige G3, B&W G3, Bondi iMac, PB titanium, Digital Audio G4, MDD G4, and G5.

I'm using my third mac now (G5 mono 1,8 rev A) 2 out of 3 were rev A (the 7100 didn't have official rev but it was at least the rev B) and all were great including the BW G3. Now There HAVE been some glorious counter examples unfortunately sad.gif

The good question is: do you need it now or not?

The OTHER good question is: how will mainctel laptops will perform? And we don't know that. Note that you'll need to wait for some time before they come in… unsure.gif
