Hi!

I have installed OS X Tiger on my PowerBook G4 12.1". Is installation of OMS 2.3.8 necessary in Tiger? I intend using Roland GI-20 as a Midi USB interface for Yamaha QY100.

No OMS is not necessary in Tiger. If fact, it does not exist. MIDI setup is done in core MIDI (Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI setup).. alot like OMS only easier. You will need updated drivers for your Roland.
