I am very new to macs and logic express, but really want to know how to listen to what i am playing!

When I can not use a MIDI controller/keyboard, and I want to use the caps lock to record sertain audio information, I can't hear a sound. My internal speakers are working and my sound is on. Also when I play (when i have the caps lock on and i am pressing (h) for example and i have a track selected) in the bottom right corner it says i have input sounds, but no output sounds. I don't have a MIDI device, so could someone tell me how I could listen to the music by using the caps-lock.
Im running on a powerbook g4 ; 1 ghz ;512 ram; 10.3.9

THANKS in advance.

use an audio instrument track, and assign one of the internal soft synths. Then on the cannel strip choose the internal outputs.
