Hello there,
I have a G5 iMac running Logic 7. I'm still a novice to the program and am in the process of getting it wired. I borrowed a friend's MBox to try out with Logic but I can't get it to work. The box receives signal if I plug an instrument into it but I can't get any sound from the program. I have downloaded a Digidesign driver as well but it didn't help. Does anyone know what I need to do?

You just got really lucky....I had the same problem, and I just figured it out. Download the latest Digi CoreAudio Manager from Core Audio 6.7.

After you install that and restart, make sure Digi CoreAudio is open, open up Logic, go to Preferences->Audio->Drivers, Change the Driver to DigiDesign Hardware (mBox)....and the big one here is to make sure the I/O buffer size is at 1024, or else the output will be unbearably static-ey. Let it reload the Audio system when prompted and you should be good to go.

(Oh and don't forget to plug headphones or something into your mBox, or else you won't hear anything! haha smile.gif

It worked for me, hope it helps you!

Bobby
