I'm not sure why but I cannot make new audio tracks independent of the original four. For example if I load a new project the default song comes up. The default song has 4 audio tracks on which you can record. If I select "new audio track" a new track appears but when I record, both the new track and the old track (track4) record! I've put this software down a number of times out of frustration. If anyone knows what the problem is please let me know.

Thanks

On the track mixer engage the global buton to reveal the rest of the faders. the exception is if you specified only 4 audio tracks in the audio preference.

isn't there an option to create multiple tracks and it adds them to the environment automatically, or you can just copy the four you have in the environment and paste them and then change the track number on the left parameter bar.

There are several paths to the solution, but by engaging the global but reveals all, midi, audio instruments, audio tracks, Aux, and busses. clicking on the channel strip will cause it to appear in the arrange window.

in the environment select all 4 tracks and copy and paste them in the same layer.
then for the new four tracks select channel for that strip in the parameter window respectively.
