'nuff said. However, they recommend using nicers to enhance DAW priority. I just think that is asking for it. I have made a separate music admin user with practically no system modifications/fancy stuff installed. It seems like it works really nice - and when I want to work on music I just switch over and my dock and everything else is set up for music making. Then when I want to do other "normal" stuff, back to the main user account it is. Just (if you want) select your user folder for each account (must be done for each account by that particular user), get info, and change permissions: allow all admin users (or whatever group you want) to read and write. It just lets you use all the same files in both accounts, instead of having them hidden from each other. peace, -------------------- -Arvid •• Squish the Squid Productions, Modest Machine

Hardware wise :
- RAM, and then, RAM - Dedicated hard drive for audio, preferably fast (good IDE, SATA, RAID of some sort depending of your need and budget) - Avoid kracks and demo software.
