Hi evry body,
Can some one help me?
I want to do some simple loops beats for hip-hop.
With a simple melody.
What programm should I use?
And what are the cheapest and easyst?
Is grageband god for that?

Personally, I find that one of the best programs for making great beats is Propellerhead's Reason, excellent for any type of beat!
If you are talking truely simple, go with Garageband $50!
It will record, multitrack, and lets you turn any aiffs or mp3s into loops.
If you need the next level for loops and samples I suggest Reason $350...
which is far more complex. Download the demo of Reason to see
if it is what you think you need.

My recommendation,
1. Get some Loop Lib CD or old-school HIPHOP vinyl one.
2. Sampling and structruring your loop library.
3. Use Phatmatik Pro. You can reprogramming rhythm pattern on it.
4. Next, sampling synth tone/sound note by note from every possible.
(Sampling CD, Sound Module, Freeware Synth, Vinyls, TV, etc.)
5. Mapping tone materials for Phatmatik Pro again.
6. Sequence Programming.
7. Mixing
8. Dance
All .wav, .mp3, and .aif files are importable into Garageband.
You can then easily use Garageband's basic loop editing ability
to extend the number of times the loop is run or chop up selected
areas of the loop and move them around.
It is really just a basic loop editor, what are you looking
to do JamesKhan?
See the Garageband help pdfs for more info.
It is all there my musical brothers...uh hum and sisters.
To make the .wav file a loop use the loop pointer icon.
Double click on the audio to bring up the waveform editer.
You can chop it up and move it all around and you
can copy and paste. Garageband is not a pro-looping
or sampling application, but it does have some great
features for the price.
Let me know if you need any more info or help.
You can try Ableton Live also...
The beast apps.in the category of the"loops based"
sequencers.
